James B. Talley, Jr.

James B. Talley, Jr., is a graduate of Presbyterian College, Clinton, South Carolina (BA History, 1970) and Walter F. George School of Law (Mercer University) (JD, 1979) where he was on the Mercer Law Review. He has been an active member of the Georgia Bar since 1979. He is admitted to practice before the Superior Court, Court of Appeals, Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States District Court.

Mr. Talley is active in many civic and community activities. He is a former Director of the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce and has also served as chairman of the Star Student Committee. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Chattahoochee Technical College and is Secretary of the Board for Paulding Enterprises (Paulding County Retardation Organization), and formally served on the Paulding County Airport Authority. He is active in Civitan, serving as President in 1987. He currently serves on the Chattahoochee Technical College Foundation Board of Directors and on the Board of Directors for the Paulding County Farm Bureau.

Mr. Talley is a partner in the firm of Talley, Richardson and Cable, P.A. in Dallas, Georgia and has practiced law in Paulding County for 28 years. His practice mainly involves residential and commercial real estate matters, probate and estates planning and limited real property litigation.

Mr. Talley served as a pilot in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years active duty and 26 years in the Reserves. He retired in 2004 at the rank of Colonel.

Mr. Talley and his wife, Ramona, are members of the Dallas First United Methodist Church in Dallas, Georgia and have three children and three grandchildren.
