Lani Gardner Skipper

Lani Gardner Skipper graduated from the University of Georgia in 1994, summa cum laude. She received her Juris Doctor, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the Georgia Bar Association that same year. Ms. Skipper serves as the County Attorney for Paulding County, a position in which she is required to represent Paulding County and its elected officials, departments, and constitutional officers in all aspects of local government law.

In addition to her position with this firm, Ms. Skipper also holds the position of Associate Juvenile Court Judge for the Paulding Judicial Circuit. Ms. Skipper is an associate member of the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia and a member of the Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and the American Judges Association.

Ms. Skipper is authorized to practice law in the State and Superior Courts of Georgia, the Georgia Courts of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the 11th Circuit United States Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and Trial Lawyers of America and is a member of the Supreme Court of Georgia District 7 Committee of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Commission. In addition, she is active in the Paulding County Bar Association, having previously served as both its President and Secretary-Treasurer.

Ms. Skipper's areas of practice include domestic relations, matters such as divorce, child custody and guardian ad litem appointments, government law, land use and zoning litigation, contract drafting and business litigation and other types of general civil litigation. Lani and her husband Ben reside in Paulding County with their son, Chase, and are active in the community. Ms. Skipper joined the firm in 1997.
